Plato Learning Academy is consistently seeking to expand its academic, extracurricular, and after-school programming to enrich the lives of its students. Whether providing staff with the opportunities to run unique clubs/organizations, collaborating with established organizations, or finding innovative methods of incorporating technology, our school is dedicated to ensuring that all students reach their academic and personal goals. 

TEach +1

Each of our teachers hosts at least one after-school club during the year. This unique opportunity allows staff to create activities that align with their own interests as well as those of the students. In addition, staff often design clubs around areas of academic or personal need such as tutoring or mentoring.
​​The program is broken into four sessions - once per quarter - each lasting five weeks. Each club runs for an hour after school on Tuesday and/or Thursday. 

project exploration

Project Exploration is one of our newest collaborations offering students to dive into the world of science both during and after school. Offering students access to revolutionary programs such as Maker Spaces and the FUSE Studio as well as hosting various activities such as Rocket Labs, Girls Who Code, and LEGO Robotics.

cps score

Our school is a proud participant in CPS Score. We currently offer both Boys and Girls Basketball as well as Cheerleading. As a member of CPS Score, we also have access to a number of sports throughout the year including Volleyball, Cross Country, and Wrestling to name a few.

columbus park

​Our longest running and possibly most popular choice for after-school programs is our collaboration with Columbus Park located across the street from our Primary Campus. This branch of the Chicago Park District offers our students a plethora of activities including tutoring, sports, art-and-crafts, and much more. There is a nominal fee to be a part of the Chicago Park Program but students at our school receive a discounted rate.
